Default I need to know something here

Ok let’s say I have prepared a website from PSD and coded in CSS, XHTML and I have about 7 pages now the questions is do I have to create all of those pages in css, xhtml and link them. or is there any other way?

I am having trouble with this, Is there any way I can use PHP to make graphical content like XHTML you can make colors, make it nice and neat, or can some on tell me the steps I am really new to websites and I am interested in making some website based on templates for websites.

On I have the PSD design and the design is here http://www.talk-mania.com/web-layout...me-layout.html

Ignore the pictures I just took the layout like the menus, header and I am trying to convert this in CSS, How much do I slice it like I only need the Graphics around the Menu and the header and where the game guide is please see the URL I posted above and can anyone tell me how much slice do I need to create in Photoshop. Any help will be appreciated.

I have seven of these pages with different colors in them like different color for home and contact us and different color of templates menus. So How do I use php to write content for me do I first write all of this in CSS and Xhtml make links and then I use PHP to pull it dynamically from the database, or is there another easy way please any help be appreciated

thanks

What exactly are you asking? Most of us generally won't respond to a question more than a paragraph or so.

Default Slicing the PSD for the css, Xhtml, and PHP

I posted a URL in the above post for the template it’s in PSD format and I am trying to slice it and generate css xhtml code. What I want to know which parts of the design I need to slice and how musci slice there need to be 1px or more for each design field. Do I slice the entire design?

Here is the URL: http://www.talk-mania.com/web-layout...me-layout.html

Also how will I generate that one PSD in too many pages with PHP? How can I use PHP to generate form one template?

I'm going to move this thread to "Other Web Design Languages". Perhaps someone else can answer your question.

I concur

@Goldy: You basically need to slice the design and create one CSS file. You'll need one html file for each page (7), but I'm guessing you'll end up reusing the index page. And yes, you do need to link them together, otherwise how would the user know there is more than one page. The different colors and stuff can be taken care of using that one CSS file.

Smile Ok I get that but?

But no one told me yet how much of slicing do I need to create in order to get the perfect CSS. like for example go to the URL I have listed in the above post and see those menus on the left for the game guides see the graphics in the I want to know how much I need to slice that graphics what else I need to slice and how much. I know I have to use that in css and xhtml.

How am I spouse to use php in there, after I make the CSS,xhtml what’s the next step from there. I have setup the xampp. I am making this site on web templates I need to make them available for the clients to download and have a membership like any other website template sellers such as www.templatemonster.com. any suggestion will be great don’t worry about the time it takes to make that website I only have 15 templates that I want to you know make money.

Thanks guys I appreciate the hard help form these forms and the person who answers my questions.

If you want to start a website to sell your templates, and you don't even know how to put your psd into an HTML and CSS setup, you have a long way to go. The first thing you need to do is learn how HTML and CSS work. Once you understand that, you'll understand how much slicing you'll need to do. The basic rule of thumb is, don't use images where you don't have to. If the background of the element you're working on is solid, then set its color using CSS. If you have a background that is a gradiant of some type, then you need to decide whether that image can be repeated to fill up the space, or if you need to slice the image as a whole to fill it. I could go on for 5 pages of this topic about how you can slice that psd up, but this is not the place to learn that IMO.
